ACCRA, GHANA — Some photographs do more than preserve memories; they document a journey, celebrate milestones and remind us of a vision that continues to evolve.
Among such historic moments are these pictures from the 2015 commissioning ceremony of the International Circle of Faith Chaplaincy Corps (ICOFCC), held at the courtyard of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), Accra, Ghana.
The ceremony brought together ICOFCC officers from the Central, Western and Greater Accra Directorates, ICOFCC chaplains and distinguished representatives from various institutions and public authorities.
Among the personalities and institutions represented at the occasion were the Acting Director-General of ICOFCC, the Adamama Director, the Ga East Municipal Chief Executive, the Ga East Police Commander, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service and NADMO.
Their presence reflected the importance of collaboration between faith-based service, community leadership, security institutions and emergency-response agencies in promoting service to humanity.
A VISION BUILT ON SERVICE
The ICOFCC represents a vision of chaplaincy that goes beyond ceremonial responsibilities. It speaks to faith, compassion, discipline, leadership, counselling, humanitarian service and support for people in moments of difficulty and need.
The 2015 commissioning ceremony therefore stands as an important part of the organisation’s history—a reminder of the people who contributed to the growth of the chaplaincy and the values upon which the organisation continues to build.
As the years have passed, the vision has continued to attract people who believe that faith should be expressed through meaningful service to humanity.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
Looking back at the 2015 photographs provides an opportunity to appreciate how far the organisation has come while looking forward to what lies ahead.
This November will be greater.
Greater opportunities for service.
Greater commitment to humanitarian responsibility.
Greater collaboration.
Greater impact.
For individuals who feel called to serve, lead, support communities and make a positive difference, the ICOFCC presents a platform where faith and service can work together for the benefit of humanity.
The journey that began with milestones such as the 2015 commissioning ceremony continues to unfold, carrying forward a message of purpose, discipline and service.
